The founder of "Little Mac Boxing" and "CrossFIGHT" ™, McDermott has been boxing since he was 12 yrs old. A student of the game, McDermott learned from legendary trainers & boxers Jimmy Archer, Al Certo, Buddy McGirt, Hector Roca and Tommy Gallagher. He was Artuto "Thunder" Gatti's protege when he turned professional in 2005. Like Gatti, McDermott was known as an exciting fighter with a crowd pleasing style. He has fought in such high profile venues like Madison Square Garden and Atlantic Citys Board Walk Hall. In 2014 McDermott became the WBU World Champion aswell as becoming the WBC Silver Champion when he defeated Ronnell Esparas in the Philippines. McDermott teaches all levels of experience.
